Editor's note: Last week, Scriber Lake High English teacher Marjie Bowker shared the story the late Bob Fuller, a generous supporter of the school's writing program – along with his wife, Mele – and its collection of true stories written by students.

The eighth in the series, "This Smile is for Everyone Else" (steepstairspress.com), is available online and at the Edmonds Bookshop.

Bowker is the editor of the series.

Here, some Fuller's "adoptees" share their stories on Bob and Mele Fuller.
