We Edmondites are lucky to have so much wildlife around us. One reason for this is that great big natural area at our doorstep, Puget Sound.

Our marine mammals include otters, whales, porpoises, seals, and sea lions.

Otters have been in the Edmonds marina and routinely nest in the outer breakwater at the Kingston marina, although there is a trapping program there. They can be seen in the water next to the ferry slips, and climbing in and out of the rock breakwater.
