Kathryn M. Knaack, 78, of Edmonds, died May 23, 2021 in Shoreline. She was born and raised in Seattle where she graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in education.
She taught school in Oakland, Calif., and the Philippines before returning to teach in the Seattle Public Schools, where she retired. Her love for travel took her to places like China, Scandinavia, and to visit friends and family in Hawaii.
She enjoyed the theater, symphony and museums. She also loved to watch Husky football games, and had season tickets for many years.
She is survived by sisters Janey Burns of Kirkland; Susan Knaack (Jeff Leucht) of Hilo Hawaii; Tricia Knaack (Richard Blocker) of Slidell, La.; and nieces Emily and Megan Leucht of Hilo, Hawaii.
Private services at a later date. Donations can be given to Seattle Children's Hospital.
