My thanks to Mike Shaw for pointing out that no one worms their way onto the City Council. There was an election & there will be another one upcoming. I concur with Mr. Shaw’s vision for Edmonds, not the vision that apparently Mr. Bussiere is pressing for. As for the demand by Lynne & Craig Chelius that council meetings resume in person, unless the writers are in direct communication with members of the Council, I doubt they have any way of knowing what plans are on-going to return to in-person events. The current council chambers is a shared space & the building is closed to the public as far as I know. Demanding it happen is not what drives re-openings & there are multiple factors to be considered & procedures to be followed to re-open. Very generous of the Cheliuses to decide meetings could happen at ECA, but again, there are procedures in place for use of any of these spaces & regulations to be adhered to. I am confident the City Council will move ahead as quickly as possible.
