City Council will have 2 primary races in August

The mild suspense is over.

With the filing for public office now over, the list of candidates for Edmonds City Council is in focus. With the addition of two late candidates, Edmonds voters will be able to make their choices on two council seats in the August primary to decide who will advance to the November general election.

And that means there will be two primaries this August.

Lora Petso, a former councilmember, has filed for Position 2. The position is held by Luke Distelhorst, who was appointed after Mike Nelson won his campaign for mayor. The position expires at the end of year, and...
