Daybreakers Rotary honors Jim Lawless

Former Acting Police Chief Jim Lawless receives an award from Jim Blossey of Daybreakers Rotary.

The Daybreakers Rotary Club of Edmonds honored former Edmonds Police Chief Jim Lawless Tuesday, May 18, at the Edmonds Waterfront Center.

It was the first public event held at the center's second-floor meeting room.

Lawless, a 25-year veteran of the Edmonds Police Department who is now assistant police chief in Marysville, was given the Paul Harris Fellow and the Professional of the Year awards.

The club also celebrated its 25-year anniversary and toasting founding members; seven remain active in the club.
