Cemetery memorial rebuilt in time for Mother's Day

A wayward driver took out the marker at the Edmonds cemetery almost 2 years ago

Almost two years after a drunken driver took out his mother's custom-made grave marker at the Edmonds Memorial Cemetery, all is peaceful once again.

On Friday, May 7, Jay Larkin – with help from family and cemetery sexton Cliff Edwards, placed the memorial in its proper spot once again, in the northwest corner of the cemetery.

It was a special moment in advance of Mother's Day.

The memorial is for Janice Larkin, who died in 2015 at age 80. Crafted of stainless steel and concrete, its curved design was certainly one of the most beautiful in the cemetery.
