Revamped Edmonds Localvore back for a four-day event

Localvore returns to Edmonds for 2021.

What's quickly becoming a rite of spring, the Edmonds Localvore event, is back after a pandemic hiatus for its seventh year.

Beginning on Thursday April 29, and continuing through Sunday, May 2, shoppers and diners can get savings and gifts with purchases at 27 participating restaurants, shops, and salons.

Each visit to a participating location also earns customers a chance to win one of three grand prizes ($450 value each).

Visitors can support Localvore, a shop-small, shop-local initiative that also earns them special deals along the way. To join the event, customers simply pick up a Lo...

This sounds fun...no doubt. I'm all for it . However have you seen the Report on our numbers. Article this morning says. Snohomish County NOW over the allowed limit...200 or below to be in stage 3. We are now at 206...this means going back to stage 2....this means the party is over...this means now waiting again. So how could this event continue on schedule? The Governor makes these decisions, not the Mayors...So, better be careful...cool it for awhile if we even have time....this is serious stuff. If we have to go back a stage...well obviously both retail, restaurants and school sports activities I think will also stop. Not a good way to begin our summer. Just what I saw this morning...better think real deep on this one EDMONDS. So sad...if we just could have done what was asked by county SHD. And the CDC etc. This would probably be over...instead this will put the final nail in economic coffin..
