Nancy Leson's Edmonds home is a hub for the Community Loaves bread program. "I had no idea how much a big part of my life Community Loaves would become."

On a bright and windy Sunday recently, cars, bicycles, and foot traffic converged on Nancy Leson's home – a steady procession of Edmonds neighbors bearing nutritious, delicious, homemade loaves of bread.

Leson would later pack the goods into her car and deliver them to Hopelink, a Kirkland-based social services agency with five food pantries in King and Snohomish counties, including one in Shoreline.
