Down the drain and into Puget Sound | Greener Edmonds

Edmonds storm drains move water from our streets, yards, parks, and rooftops. The system starts with grates in the roads and ends in Puget Sound.

Unlike the sewer system, storm drain water is untreated; whatever the runoff picks up on land ends up the Sound.

Storm drain is a misnomer. It does not take a storm to get water into it. If it flows, it goes, storm or not. Pipes do not handle all the flow. Some of this water also passes through our creeks and Lake Ballinger before flowing into the Sound.

Ok. Bowl. Are they going to take out their always paved triple drive ways and put in gravel. I doubt it very seriously. Or any other 800,000 - multi multi million dollar homes. And those who aren't wealthy and barely making it...how do they afford the removal of an existing driveway and then buy all the gravel and have it spread...How...This is an idea that if one wants to fine. But if they don't or simply cant...you can't force them and the citizens of Edmonds again are tapped out on taxes. This will not happen here.
