Mayor proposes $4 an hour hazard pay bump for Edmonds grocery store workers

Edmonds Mayor Mike Nelson has proposed an ordinance that would require grocery stores with 500 or more employees statewide to provide their Edmonds employees with hazard pay of $4 per hour for each hour worked in Edmonds until Gov. Jay Inslee has declared the state of emergency in Washington has been lifted.
This ordinance will be presented to City Council for its review and approval on Tuesday, April 6.
