Cascadia gets Waldo Chase woodcut

The Cascadia Art Museum has received a donation of art and design objects from the family of Waldo Chase (1895-1988).

The museum now has the largest collection of color woodcuts by Waldo Chase and Corwin Chase in any museum or institution.

The two brothers were part of the Northwest Arts & Crafts Movement and made important contributions to the region's art history.

The museum is working to collect additional works by the Chase brothers as well as other color woodcuts by Northwest artists of the 1910-1940 period.
