Free film screening of 'Miss Major' is Feb. 20

The Edmonds School District's Black Lives Matter Month of Action Committee is hosting a free screening of the critically acclaimed film "Miss Major" at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 20.

The film shares the experiences of an African American transgender woman as she recounts her life and fight for human rights for people in her community. For more than 40 years, Miss Major Griffin-Gracy has spoken openly about empowering transgender people.

The screening, recommended for students in the seventh grade and older, will be followed by a post-show discussion.

All families, staff, and community members are welcome to attend.
