The grass at Marina Beach Park gave way to a snowy landscape.

Snow. Everyone's favorite winter delight, until you can't get out of the driveway.

This weekend's storm was certainly not as bad as last year's. Not on par with 2019, which shoveled in four snowstorms in a row. Nowhere near as paralyzing as the historic dumps of 1996 and The Big Snow of 1916, the latter which dropped more than 21 inches on dirt-road Edmonds in the middle of a frigid January.

This year's action arrived on little cat's paws Friday night, so light and delicate. The flurries soon got down to business, continuing through Sunday and turning this part of the Evergreen State into ...
