The Edmonds School District is asking voters to consider a funding measure for a capital levy to upgrade buildings, address capacity challenges, and improve existing facilities.
The School Board has approved Resolution 20-30. The measure will be on the April 27 ballot.
"We believe this capital levy is critical and will address the following needs: asset preservation; safety, security and accessibility; capacity challenges; and replace school buildings well past their lifespans," said Superintendent Gustavo Balderas.
Those schools are Spruce and Oak Heights elementary schools.
