2021 capital levy to go before voters April 27

The Edmonds School District is asking voters to consider a funding measure for a capital levy to upgrade buildings, address capacity challenges, and improve existing facilities.

The School Board has approved Resolution 20-30. The measure will be on the April 27 ballot.

"We believe this capital levy is critical and will address the following needs: asset preservation; safety, security, and accessibility; capacity challenges; and replace school buildings well past their lifespan," said Superintendent Gustavo Balderas.

Those schools are Spruce and Oak Heights elementary schools.

Forget. It. I VOTE NO. So should all of you. We are taxed to the max, with more in your sites...Enough. Should have saved some of our money for the rest of this city and other things....You are going to need more than you can squeeze out of us. Property taxes effect loan rates folks...lots don't have that upfront amt...when value of property doesn't match or get close then...people can't get a loan...following me. I will say again I AM DEMOCRAT NOT A SOCIALIST. YOU DEMOCRATS NEED TO THINK ABOUT THIS. DON'T LET THEM fool you.
