Edmonds voters nixed a terminal hub almost 15 years ago

Almost 15 years ago, Edmonds had a chance to become a model of what a transportation hub could look like in south Snohomish County.
It didn't happen. The next city north has that shiny new hub now.
A new Mukilteo ferry terminal, which opened Tuesday, Dec. 29, makes Edmonds' transportation hub look quaint in comparison.
Washington State Ferries' newest multimodal terminal – one-third of a mile from the old one – replaces a 63-year-old cramped and outdated facility. Mukilteo is the ferry system's first new terminal in 40 years, funded by $187 million in state and federal money.
