Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus

Just before the turn of the 20th century, 8-year-old Virginia Hanlon wrote a letter to the editor of New York Sun, and the quick response was printed as an unsigned editorial Sept. 21, 1897.
Lead Op-Ed writer Francis Pharcellus Church's response has since become history's most reprinted newspaper editorial. And Viriginia's former home in New York City has a plaque in honor.
We agree with Mr. Church.
