Edmonds partnering with county on CARES funds

The city of Edmonds has completed two rounds of federal CARES Act funds to support local businesses during the coronavirus pandemic.

So far, 150 businesses have received up to $1.13 million in grants – 91 in the first round and 59 in the second.

Now, the city is working with Snohomish County to distribute funds to Edmonds businesses that haven't yet received them.

"The county has offered us additional CARES money, and we are in discussion with them about the exact amount," said Economic Development and Community Relations Director Patrick Doherty.
