Gerald "Jerry" Snyder 1934-2020

Gerald "Jerry" Snyder was born March 28, 1934, in Midwest, Wyoming, to Byron and Charity Elizabeth Snyder. He passed away Oct. 31, 2020, in Edmonds. He graduated from Ephrata High School in 1952.

Gerald was a Navy veteran who worked at Boeing and Robbins Co., which built the tunneling machine for the Chunnel. He also worked as a gate host for the Mariners and Seahawks for 20 years, in addition to the Sounders.

Astronomy was his passion. He coached Mountlake Terrace Little League football, boys basketball and football, girls basketball, and Woodway girls basketball.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ella "Jo"; three children, Jerry, Kelly, and Cathi; five grandchildren, Amber, Michael, Tessa, Max, and Alec; and two great-grandchildren, Nora and Willa. A family graveside service was Nov. 10 at 10:30 a.m. at Mount Tahoma Veterans Cemetery.
