Ready to move on: Municipal Court Judge Linda Coburn will serve on state Court of Appeals

By the end of the year, Edmonds Municipal Court Judge Linda Coburn will have served the city six years. Now she's ready for the next step.
Coburn, 56 and a 28-year Edmonds resident, ran unopposed in the Nov. 3 general election for a six-year term as Court of Appeals judge for Position 2, Division 1, District 2. She had a number of endorsements, including from Rep. Strom Peterson (D-Edmonds), Sen. Marco Liias (D-Mukilteo), Snohomish County Prosecutor Adam Cornell, Edmonds Mayor Mike Nelson, and six Edmonds City Council members.
