COVID: County case count highest since early 2020

The two-week case rate for the period ending Oct. 17 is the highest it has been since the first wave of COVID-19 in early 2020.
The rate has increased from 70.6 per 100,000 population in last week's update to 101.1 per 100,000 in a Tuesday, Oct. 20, update.
"This pandemic has been a long haul already, and we're still in it," said Snohomish County Executive Dave Somers in a newsletter.
"Although it can be challenging, we need – now more than ever – for people to take steps to reduce the spread of illness."
