Last updated 10/4/2020 at 2:10pm
The Edmonds Food Bank is inviting the community to stop by to show off the bowls they have painted, pick up soup, bread, and dessert and make a donation to support the Edmonds Food Bank's services in the community.
On Empty Bowl Day, Oct. 7, you can come by the Edmonds Food Bank at 828 Caspers St. and support your neighbors facing food insecurity by donation to the Edmonds Food Bank Empty Bowl.
Between 4 and 6 p.m, Chef Navi and Chef Dane will provide soup, and Cottage at Blue Ridge Bakery fresh bread and dessert. First Financial Northwest Bank is a sponsor and will be collecting donations.
First Financial Bank will collect monetary donations. Donation suggestion is $50 per bowl. A choice of two soups will be served on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 4 p.m.
Edmonds Food Bank serves an average of 327 families every week, in addition to support of Neighbors in Need and The Hygiene Station weekly. They also serve 75 at the monthly College Place school distribution.
Each month the food bank needs 1750 gallons of milk, 3,000 volunteer hours and 170,000 pounds of food. Come to the drive-through version of Empty Bowls, get a bowl of soup, bread and dessert to go, and donate to help secure the Food Bank's monthly needs.
