Baseball field spiffed up, thanks to Eagle Scout

One of the baseball bleachers at Lynndale Park is in good shape now, thanks to the efforts of a 15-year-old Edmonds boy and his Eagle Scout project.

Oh, and Aaron Johnson also delivers the Edmonds Beacon.

Aaron was one of 13 volunteers from Boy Scout Troop 312 from Edmonds who worked on replacing the bleachers. Many stayed for over eight hours on one of the hottest days of the year, in August.

"We cut, sanded, and painted the boards at my house on a Friday and Saturday night," said Aaron, a sophomore at Meadowdale High School. "Then on Sunday we loaded all 36 boards onto a trailer and brou...
