In the aftermath of the killing of George Floyd by a Minneapolis police officer on May 25, Edmonds residents have held rallies in support of Black Lives Matter and regular sign-holding protests in Westgate.

In addition to the "I Can't Breathe" artwork on Sixth Avenue North, residents have also created chalk drawings around town.

One of the biggest is on a fence along the walkway on Seventh Avenue South and Fir Street over Shellabarger Creek.

Included are the names are multiple people of color who have been killed by police nationwide.
