Health District: Increased hospitalizations could be coming

The Snohomish Health District, in its report detailing COVID-19 in the county July 12-25, shows that the current wave of COVID-19 activity is finding its way into older age groups and could lead to a sustained increase in hospitalizations in the coming weeks.
Edmonds recorded 50 cases during the two weeks. There have been 29 total deaths in Edmonds recorded since the pandemic began.
Among other notes:
• A case rate of 89.4 per 100,000 in the 14-day period from July 9 to 23, up from 70.8 per 100,000 from July 2 to 16.
