Graphite on the mooove: Construction beginning in July

The auction of Great, a life-sized Holstein cattle cow sculpture, will benefit Graphite.

Graphite, a future art facility in Edmonds, is set to begin construction next month. Located in the Edmonds arts district at 202 Main St., the new art center promotes itself as a hub for people of all ages to experience art at any level. Building features will include:

• Workshop areas for instruction and community events

• Gallery to display art

• Darkroom for photography

• Ceramics studio

• Artist studio spaces

• Communal public art areas

• Library

• Restaurant
