The osprey, defined: "The osprey or more specifically the western osprey – also called sea hawk, river hawk, and fish hawk – is a diurnal, fish-eating bird of prey with a cosmopolitan range."
Rachel Lyman, who lives on 96th Avenue West in Westgate, offers proof.
She and her daughter, Audrey, have been watching osprey in action on a cell tower near their home for a while now. They take pictures through a telescope with an iPhone.
