Joanne R. Conn, 72 of Mukilteo, Washington, passed away on Monday April 25, 2022, from pneumonia and after an extended battle with multiple sclerosis. Mrs. Conn was born March 4, 1950, in Seattle, Washington. She was the daughter of the late Alfred Morris Jr. and Janet Upcraft. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Conn was preceded in death by her devoted husband of nearly 33 years, Archibald Clark Conn III.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Tyler and Brooke Conn of Renton, Washington, stepdaughter and son-in-law Lysa and Al Sherman of LaConner, Washington. Also surviving her is her brother Scott Morris, of Arizona, and three nieces. She will be missed by her family and dear friends.
Joanne leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Eli and Madelyn Conn, Caleb Sherman, Quinn Sherman, and Cameron and Taysha James-Sherman, as well as her great-granddaughter, Orianna James-Sherman.
Mrs. Conn obtained an English degree from the University of Washington. She loved sailing, was an avid reader, and enjoyed cheering for the Huskies and Seahawks. Joanne was a lifelong champion of women’s rights. Before having to take leave due to multiple sclerosis, Joanne worked at the Raytheon Systems Company in Mukilteo for nearly a decade.
Services were held at the discretion of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Special Olympics.
