Bank robber released, robs bank, captured in Edmonds

On Monday, a 50-year-old Everett man was convicted on two counts of bank robbery but was temporarily released to visit his sick mother prior to being incarcerated, according to Everett Police.

Violating the agreement to turn himself in, the man entered a bank in the 7600 block of Evergreen Way at noon today, April 23. He approached the employee, said he had a gun, demanded money, and fled after receiving an undisclosed amount of cash.

Despite an extensive search, officers were unable to locate the man, but identified him from bank surveillance video.
