Edmonds Waterfront Center update

Construction halted, but council approves financing to finish project

Edmonds Waterfront Center

Construction is temporarily suspended on the Edmonds Waterfront Center, which had been scheduled to open later this year.

Drive by the former Edmonds Senior Center on Railroad Avenue and you'll see that construction of its replacement, the Edmonds Waterfront Center, is moving quickly. Or, was moving quickly.

Construction has stopped.

The Senior Center was given notice by its contractor, W.G. Clark Construction, that construction on the coming Edmonds Waterfront Center was temporarily shut down due to the statewide mandate issued by Gov. Jay Inslee.

"The governor issued additional construction guidance to the executive stay-at-home order," said Jim Bray, W.G. Clark senior project manager,
