There is a pit in my stomach.
A pit of nervousness and worry and sadness that I wake up with every morning and carry around with me. I have felt this pit before, when my brother died suddenly or when my dad passed after his long illness and my mom was left without him.
It feels like something is pressing on my upper abdomen, just below my rib cage, and the pain radiates out.
