Back in the previous millennium, I was a stockbroker for seven years. I wasn’t a very good stockbroker because I rebelled against selling the high-profit products and that regularly brought me into conflict with my bosses, even when I owned part of the company.
I have never been sorry for my time in the industry, and I have never regretted leaving it.
A good friend who knows some of my personal history called to ask about comparisons to the big market meltdown in 1987. That was the last time the market was down as much as it was on March 12.
