Driftwood Players in Edmonds has canceled its upcoming production of "The Producers," said managing director Katie Soule.

It was scheduled April 17-May 10 at Wade James Theater on Main Street.

"This decision was not made lightly," Soule said. "Extreme consideration was given to our actors, creative team, staff, volunteers, patrons, and the Edmonds community. The organization determined that canceling this production is of the utmost necessity as it is our absolute responsibility to reduce the risk to public health to the best of our ability."

Ticketholders may request a refund of the ticket price by email ([email protected]) or by calling 425-774-9600. Patrons are encouraged to consider making a donation of their ticket (501 (c) 3 tax write off applies). Any ticket remaining on accounts after April 17 will automatically be donated.

"We are extraordinarily disappointed for the performers, creative team, and audience who were looking forward to this production," Soule said. "These are unprecedented times and we appreciate your understanding and support as we navigate through them."
