We look, smell, taste, and touch food, and even sometimes hear food. Emotionally, preparing and/or eating food is associated with being cared for as a child, gathering with family and friends, and traveling to new places.
Every so often, we find a meal or an ingredient that satisfies our senses while also connecting us to an emotion or feeling.
For example, when you discover a taqueria as good as Omar's (reviewed in the Beacon Jan. 16), the visits become part of a story – how you found it, what you saw nearby, who you ate with, or what you felt as you remembered other good meals. And...
