Warriors wrap up season at 3A state meet

Edmonds-Woodway's Yuteng Wang swims in the 100 breaststroke prelims.

Edmonds-Woodway advanced three individuals and all three of its relays to the consolation finals of seven events at the 3A State Swimming Championships Saturday, Feb. 22, at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way.

Senior Anton Teplouhov finished 11th in the 50-yard freestyle and 13th in the 100 freestyle. Junior Jeff Plum took 11th in the 100 backstroke and senior Yuteng Wang placed 13th in the 100 butterfly.

The Warriors 200 medley relay team of Plum, Teplouhov, Wang and Andrew Rutz won the consolation finals, taking ninth overall. The 200 freestyle relay team of Wang, Mate Pallos, Niko Inadomi and Rutz, and the 400 freestyle relay squad of Teplouhov, Zack Kotwis, Pallos and Plum, both placed 11th in their respective heats.
