2nd accident on tracks in less than two months
Driver 'wanders' away from truck-train collision

An 82-year-man in a pickup truck southbound made an illegal crossing on the west side of the railroad tracks in Edmonds early Tuesday morning, Feb. 4, and was struck by a BNSF train.
It's the third accident on the tracks in less than two months, stalling ferry, car, bike, pedestrian, bus, and train traffic.
On Dec. 13, a Sounder north line train was delayed after it struck a stalled vehicle on the tracks. The City Council recently voted against an emergency access ramp from the Sunset Avenue bluff to Brackett's Landing North.
