Clogging classes begin in Edmonds Feb. 6

Clogging has its roots in the Appalachian Mountains and is a rhythmic, percussive, hoedown style and danced to most genres of music.

Maureen Pettit, and instructor with the Edmonds Senior Center, will have a class for beginners starting Thursday, Feb. 6. The class will be held at United Methodist Church, 828 Casper St., Edmonds, in the Fellowship Hall.

This class is offered as a program by the Edmonds Senior Center.

For the first class, participants can wear comfortable shoes; clogging shoes will be discussed at that first class. A drop-in rate will be charged each week, payable to the te...
