PCC make wrong call on free publications

It has recently come to my attention that our local "community" supermarket, PCC Edmonds, has chosen to stop carrying our community newspaper, the Edmonds Beacon.

For an organization that claims to prioritize the needs of its communities, it is staggering to me that they would remove the Beacon, along with the other free newspapers at their market.

While I agree it's ridiculous that the Edmonds PCC dropped the Edmonds Beacon from being available at the store, let's just look at this 1 step further /deeper. If you are a fan of the Edmonds Beacon AND you're a supporter of sustainability/recycling programs, how about subscribing to the Edmonds Beacon e-version? It's $2.95 per month & you can access via your account or FB. No, I do not work for the Beacon and no, I do not get a kick back. Cheaper than our fancy daily coffee drink.
