EdCC students speak at AAUW conference

Members, families and friends filled Gateway Hall in Edmonds Community College Dec. 7 to share lunch, holiday shop, and celebrate AAUW Edmonds SnoKing Branch's purpose – to advance education and economic equity for all women and girls.

Three female students from EdCC – Sara Jones, Mangwe Silanda, and Carmen Bowen – spoke of the inspiration they derived from the speakers and fellow young participants during the AAUW National Conference for College Women Student Leaders (NCCWSL) in Maryland.

Dana Parker, assistant director of TRIO Student Support Services at EdCC, accompanied them.
