Snow in Edmonds: A beautiful mess

It's winter – snow blankets city, disrupts schedules

The snow turned Edmonds' Chase Lake Pond into a magical place. It's located on 84th Avenue West, just south of 220th Street SW.

So far, so good. Kind of.

The first snowfall of the year, which began Sunday, hasn't been as treacherous as last year's doozy in February.

But it all depends on your situation: If you were in an accident, or couldn't get out of the driveway to get to work, or scrambled to secure child care due to school closures, these last few days have stunk.

If you enjoyed the snowy views, the eerie quietness of it all, the smiles on kids' faces, well, good for you.

It appears the snow might be over for now, and the expected snowfall Tuesday night instead came Wednesday afternoon.
