Several people who have turned left from Railroad Avenue to what they thought would be Sunset Avenue, or the reverse, ended up on the tracks. Given the depth of the rail ties from the surface of the road, none of them were able to drive their vehicles out of the way of approaching trains.
The City has apparently put some yellow striping to show motorists the way around, but it does not cover the railroad apron. At night that particular area is dark.
