$130M budget a record high for Edmonds

The Edmonds City Council approved its 2020 budget on Tuesday, which came in at a record $130.6 million, or $22 million more than 2019 and almost $40 million more than just two years ago.
There are some reasons for that.
"First, the 2020 budget includes $7.3 million for carry-forward projects," said Finance Director Scott James. "Second, the budget includes nearly $20 million for projects that have received prior approval from council. Third, the budget includes $11 million for the Pyrolysis Carbon Recovery project (for the wastewater treatment plant)."
