All is bright: Tree Lighting Ceremony is Nov. 30
Emcee is Deborah Brandie from the Foundation for Edmonds School District
November 26, 2019
Live music performances and an appearance by Santa Claus will headline the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony in downtown Edmonds Saturday, Nov. 30, in an event staged each year by the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce.
The ceremony at Centennial Plaza begins at 3 p.m. and ends at 5 p.m. Kids can get their pictures taken with Santa after the ceremony. The emcee is Deborah Brandie from the Foundation for Edmonds School District. Free photos with Santa Claus will be available from 5:15 to 7 p.m. at Edmonds Masonic Lodge, 515 Dayton St.
As in past years, the chamber will collect clothing for Clothes for Kids, a local nonprofit group serving families in need, and food for the Foundation for the Edmonds School District's "Nourishing Network" program.
The event will have a variety of local music performers, and public caroling also is encouraged.
There will be plenty of free treats: coffee, hot cocoa, hot cider, cookies, candy canes and more.
