King's Naomi Smith capped her senior season with a second-place finish at the 1A state girls cross country championships Saturday, Nov. 9, at Sun Willows Golf Course in Pasco.
Smith, who won the state title last year, finished the 5k course in 18 minutes, 24.00 seconds, behind winner Alaina Stone of Colville, who clocked in at 17:39.60, the second fastest time of her career. King's
Jenae McInnes took 40th and was followed by Grace Echelbarger (63rd), Kate Gerspacher (69th) and Allie Fattizzi (79th). The Knights finished sixth.
