King’s opened the postseason with a 4-1 victory over Meridian in a 1A District girls soccer tournament game Monday, Oct. 28, at Woolsey Stadium in Shoreline.
Olivia Gabelein scored two goals to lead the Knights, who take on Lynden Christian in the district title game at 3 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 2, at Whatcom Community College in Bellingham. Grace Hansen and Meg Travis also had goals for the Knights.
Both King’s and Lynden Christian, who beat South Whidbey 3-0, advance to the Bi-District tournament. The winner earns a state berth and faces Seattle Academy in the Bi-District title contest...
