The Edmonds-Woodway and Meadowdale boys tennis teams both are headed for successful regular season runs with just two weeks left until the district tournament.
The Warriors suffered their first league loss to Shorewood last week but remain near the top of the standings. The Thunderbirds defeated Edmonds-Woodway 5-2 in a Wesco 3A South showdown on Thursday, Oct. 3. Shorewood (6-0 in the league and 8-1 overall) wraps up the season against Arlington, Snohomish and Shorecrest.
Edmonds-Woodway (5-1 7-3) takes on Stanwood, Mountlake Terrace and Cascade.
