Second grade Highly Capable screening enters 2nd year

As part of the Edmonds School District's equity work to provide greater access to Highly Capable testing and services, it provides identification screening to all second grade students.

The Naglieri Nonverbal Ability Test (NNAT3) is a cognitive ability test that utilizes shapes and figures to evaluate problem solving and reasoning abilities.

In late fall, students who score in the 87% percentile (based on students of similar ages around the nation) or higher will be encouraged to take the full test at individual schools.
