The popular Edmonds Arts Festival contributes mightily to the economic impact of the city.
A proclamation by Mayor Dave Earling at Edmonds City Council Oct. 1 recognized October as National Arts and Humanities month, which annually highlights the arts and humanities as vital to the well-being of communities.
The month commemorates the efforts of millions of Americans, including the many cultural organizations, teachers, artists and individuals in Edmonds, working to enhance and celebrate the lives of both citizens and visitors through the arts and humanities.
