Edmonds-Woodway's Paulson takes second at Snohomish Summer Smash | Tennis

Edmonds-Woodway’s Natalie Paulson finished second in the Girls Gold Division at the fifth annual Snohomish Summer Smash Saturday, July 27, at Snohomish High School.

Kamiak’s Leah Robison defeated Paulson 6-1, 6-4, in the singles championship match. Paulson, a 3A state participant, prevailed 6-2, 7-5 over Snohomish’s Emily Adell in the quarterfinals then beat Lake Stevens’ Alexandria Medina 6-4, 6-3 in the semifinals.

Robison also teamed up with Kamiak’s Jaeden Tongco to capture the Mixed Doubles Division title. Robison and Tongco defeated Snohomish’s Adam Kowalchyk and Natalie...
